The Artist's Journey

Creating art has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. Sometimes it took centre stage - like when I was a child and making clothing designs, drawing pictures, gluing sparkles on everything, painting my own self, writing plays and acting them out - was what my life was all about; and, as a pre-teen and teenager when I attended a school for the visual and performing arts. Sometimes it took back stage - like when, for twelve years, I leaned heavily into my corporate career in Human Resources.

Becoming a full time artist was not a linear path. It was a winding journey filled with self-discovery, challenges, fear, doubt, frustration, fun, excitement, and profound moments of inspiration.

The artist's journey is deeply personal. It's about listening to that inner voice, the soul's calling, trusting it, and translating it into something tangible. It is about allowing life energy to flow through you and express itself. It has taught me that art is not just about what you create, but also about how it transforms you.

Each piece that I create is a reflection of an ongoing exploration. They are milestones that mark my evolution as an artist and a human being. The artist's journey is not always easy, but it is incredibly rewarding, offering insights and growth that extend far beyond the canvas.
